Miscellaneous
How should I dress?
We recommend cocktail or semi-formal attire, below is a short guide if you don’t know what that means. This is a guideline not a strict dress code. Feel free to wear any colour you like.
Also, pack for cool weather! The temperature will probably be between 8C and 0C (46F to 32F). The ceremony will be probably indoors but the outside of the venue is very pretty, and you might want to hang out there for a bit.
Short guideline
Women
Either a knee-length or mid-calf (midi) dress, a skirt and blouse, or a nice jumpsuit. Feel free to wear floor length dress, though careful not to trip while dancing! Also nice shoes, like heels, or dressy flats or boots.
Men
A suit or blazer with dress pants, along with a collared shirt. Feel free to wear a complete suit if you prefer. Wear decent shoes, like loafers. A tie would be nice but it’s optional.
What will the weather be like?
Probably a bit chilly. It will likely be between 8C and 0C (46F to 32F) and it might lightly snow.
Where should out of town guests stay?
Feel free to stay anywhere. If you’re unsure, we recommend the Griffintown Hotel.
Are children welcome?
Yes! Just let us know on the RSVP, because if there are more than 5 children attending we’re required to get a babysitter by the venue (which we are happy to do).
Can I bring a plus one?
Yes! Just let us know on the RSVP.
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by September 26th.
Is there a registry?
Yes! You can find it on the Registry page. But please feel no obligation — see the next question.
Do I need to get a gift?
No! Bringing a gift is totally optional.
Will the wedding be photographed?
Yes, we will have a professional photographer.
I'm from out of town and want to hang out with Evelyn and/or Joshua before or after the wedding. Can I do that?
Yes! Let us know when you’ll be in town. We won’t be going on honeymoon right away so we’ll be free.
